The Israelis have a state-of-the-art field hospital functioning in Haiti — mainstream media silence.

The hospital was one of the first fully functioning medical sites with advanced equipment. So far, 300 patients have been admitted, 92 surgeries have been performed and 5 babies have been delivered (2 were premature). Because of the advanced medical equipment at the IDF field hospital, the UN coordinator has been sending doctors and nurses from other countries to join the Israeli medical staff. Thus far, 8 Colombian and 9 American USC doctors and nurses and 10 British volunteers have joined the IDF field hospital.

Venezuela’s Chavez offers fuel to Haiti

Chavez promised to send as much gasoline as Haiti needs for electricity generation and transport.

Venezuela has sent several planes to Haiti with doctors, aid and some soldiers. A Russia-Venezuela mission was set to leave Venezuela on Monday carrying aid on Russian planes.

Chavez said Venezuela’s planes were the first to land in Haiti after Tuesday’s 7.0 magnitude earthquake, which wrecked the capital Port-Au-Prince and killed as many as 200,000 people.

This is just one more example of how constantly and consistently our so-called professional journalists have failed us. As citizens, we need complete and accurate information about the world around us so that we can participate intelligently in self-government. When the major outlets fail to report about something, it is just as much a bias as distorting or misrepresenting events.

The seeds of the “socialism of the XXI century” (Marxism or gangsterism) that is destroying Latin America and threatens to destroy Honduras and the U.S. were planted in the Americas by Fidel Castro.

For more than 50 years, Castro has been working to harm the U.S. and spread Marxism, financed originally by the Soviet Union, and later by Hugo Chavez and drug trafficking. 

Fidel Castro transformed an imperfect but happy and prosperous island into an Orwellian nightmare, a GULAG of dire poverty and despair, where the only hope for most is being able to escape.  

Following a scheme devised by Castro to impose Marxism through “democratic” elections and referendums, Hugo Chavez took over Venezuela. With oil revenues stolen from the Venezuelan people, Chavez funded and helped implement Castro’s plan in other countries.

Daniel Ortega, Evo Morales, Rafael Correa and others, following Chavez’s example and with Chavez’s funding, have enslaved or are enslaving their respective countries. Miguel Zelaya was implementing Castro’s scheme in Honduras.  

Wiser than other Latin Americans, however, Hondurans have laws that defend them from the fraudulent scheme devised by Castro. Hondurans have seen this scheme unfold in the countries being destroyed by the Marxist thugs controlled by Castro and Chavez. They don’t want the tragedy of those countries repeated in Honduras. They would rather be isolated for a few years than enslaved for more than 50 like the Cubans! 

Castro’s Scheme

Castro’s scheme — through which Chavez, Morales, Correa, etc. have enslaved their countries — works along these lines:

1. Select a wannabe dictator — a “charismatic” and depraved megalomaniac who is ready to sell out his country (thugs like Chavez, Morales, Correa, and Zelaya). Help him run for president of the country.
2. Invest millions or billions in a “professional” campaign demonizing the opposition and promising CHANGE to help the poor, end corruption, improve schools … whatever people want to hear.
3. Commit as much fraud as possible to make sure the wannabe dictator wins.
4. Have “protectors of human rights” like OAS Secretary General Insulza — who has really been trampling on human rights by promoting communism for years — declare that the elections were “legal and transparent.”
5. Make sure that, once in power, the wannabe dictator takes over the Legislative and Judicial branches of power; destroys the country’s business community, economy and institutions; intimidates and controls the media; and demonizes, intimidates and even kills anyone trying to defend the country.
6. Have a referendum to approve a new constitution. Representatives of the people are supposed to write that constitution. In reality, people don’t even know what’s in the new constitution until it’s too late.
7. Have Insulza (OAS) and others who pretend to “protect human rights” declare that the referendum is perfectly “legal and transparent.”

The goal of the new constitution is to help the wannabe dictator become a full-blown dictator for life (like Castro in Cuba), prevent people from defending themselves, and use the country to help drug cartels, Islamic terrorists, etc. to destroy the U.S. And all of it under the cloak of “democracy”!

Hondurans were able to save themselves from the clutches of Castro/Chavez because Zelaya had not yet been able to take control of the Legislative and Judicial branches of power.

Congratulations, Hondurans! Many of us wish we could have done what you are doing before the Marxist thugs working for Castro and Chavez enslaved our countries.

We pray Hondurans can defend themselves from Castro/Chavez/Zelaya now working with Obama’s support under the sheep’s clothing of Oscar Arias.

Barack Hussein Obama’s background, words and deeds indicate that he will help Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez spread the cancer of “socialismo del siglo XXI” (Marxism) in Latin America and prevent U.S. friends from defending themselves. Chavez and his allies — Marxist dictators, guerrillas, Islamic terrorists and Russians — are all hoping for an Obama victory.

During the last Presidential debate, responding to McCain’s support for Bush’s free trade proposal with Colombia, Obama repeated Chavez’s propaganda against Colombia. Mary Anastasia O’Grady of the Hispanic American Center for Economic Research (HACER) responded with facts:

“The history in Colombia right now,” [Obama] said, “is that labor leaders have been targeted for assassination on a fairly consistent basis and there have not been prosecutions.”

Mr. McCain should have blown the whistle right there because bearing false witness against your neighbor, who also happens to be a friend, is a foul. Labor killings in Colombia have gone down sharply in the past five years and convictions have gone up. Mr. Obama was wrong. Moreover, Mr. McCain missed an opportunity to ask Mr. Obama how he squares his antagonism toward Colombia — whose president has an 80% approval rating — with his promise to boost America’s image abroad.

An American politician ought to know better than to deliver a morality lecture to Colombia. American demand for cocaine, which funds Colombia’s worst criminality — including the bloodthirsty Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) — has nearly wrecked that beautiful country. Colombians, who have bravely cooperated with the hapless U.S. “war on drugs,” have paid a steep price….

As a Journal editorial on Friday explained, from 2002 to 2007 the number of murdered Colombian union members dropped by almost 87%. By any fair standard that is progress, especially considering the pattern Mr. Uribe inherited. In 2000, 155 unionists were murdered and in 2001, 205 died. The numbers only started to come down when he took the helm.

Chavez has been working hard and investing millions to undermine Colombia, the only real U.S. ally in Latin America. Files in the computer seized by Colombian forces in a raid that claimed the lives of terrorist Raul Reyes and 23 of his comrades exposed Chavez’s efforts to undermine Colombia’s government.  Additionally, among the files in that computer, there was a letter from Raul Reyes to the Communist FARC Secretariat indicating that U.S. leftists were interested in Hugo Chavez’s plan to persuade leading Latin American nations to help get the FARC removed from lists of international terror groups. The letter also indicated that those “gringos” had said that “Obama will be the new president and that Obama will not support the Colombia Plan nor the signing the TLC treaty” (Bush administration’s free trade agreement with Colombia).

Obama and Chavez share much more than their determination to undermine America’s allies, such as Colombia, and help America’s enemies, such as FARC. Obama has a great deal in common with Chavez and also with other Latin American Marxists — Evo Morales (Bolivia) and Rafael Correa (Ecuador). Their egos, campaign strategies, promises, speaking abilities, and false Christianity (based on Liberation Theology) are very similar, and so is their eagerness to supposedly help the poor and the middle class by redistributing the wealth of those nasty rich people.

By the way, the wealth redistribution is not helping the middle class or the poor in Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador. The middle class and the poor in those countries are doing much worse than before. In Venezuela, the wealth redistribution has worked only for Chavez, his cronies and his relatives, who have become millionaires.  Wake up, Americans! Save your country and the world from Obama.

During the last Presidential debate, free trade came up for discussion. Responding to McCain’s support for Bush’s free trade proposal with Colombia, Obama said,

“Let me respond. Actually, I understand it pretty well. The history in Colombia right now is that labor leaders have been targeted for assassination on a fairly consistent basis and there have not been prosecutions.”

Obviously Obama does not understand. He is repeating what Hugo Chavez wants Americans to believe. Hugo Chavez must have been jumping for joy! The millions he has invested to brainwash Americans are yielding results. The reality is that, due to security improvements under Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, there has been a marked human rights improvement over a decade ago. Under Uribe, Colombia has agreed to a permanent ILO mission to monitor labor rights, and arrests and prosecutions of those committing the violence have increased. Far fewer union members were being killed this year than the nearly 200 that were killed in 2002.  Obama’s remarks during the debate, however, may be changing the situation for the worse.  Those remarks seem to have fueled violence and increased the number of people killed in Colombia.

As if to support Obama’s remarks, on October 23 Reuters reported:

Thousands of indigenous Colombians marched on Thursday to press their demands against President Alvaro Uribe, and labor unions protested in the capital Bogota, where five small blasts panicked residents.

Indigenous protesters with traditional staves, banners and mock coffins snaked toward Cali city, where leaders want talks with Uribe on promises to protect their lands, defend them against violence and reject a U.S. free trade agreement.

In Bogota, where several thousand state employees marched against Uribe’s economic management, five small explosions left in trash cans or tied to lampposts slightly wounded at least 11 people, police said without commenting on those responsible.

Authorities say three indigenous protesters have died during more than a week of demonstrations near Cali. Uribe says they were killed when a homemade bomb exploded, but community leaders say security forces shot the victims…

Who benefits from the marches by indigenous protesters in coordination with manifestations of labor unions? Not most of Colombians who only want peace and a trade agreement that would benefit Colombia.  It’s Chavez and their terrorist friends who benefit. Their objective is to prevent the trade agreement and impose “socialismo del siglo XXI” (Marxism) in Colombia, as it has been imposed in Venezuela, Ecuador and Bolivia. Colombia would then become another U.S. enemy. If Obama is elected president of the United States, Colombia, America’s best ally in Latin America, will fall in Chavez’s hands and in the hands of Chavez’s accomplices — Russians, FARC, Islamic terrorists and other enemies of the free world. And Colombia’s falling in Chavez’s hands will destroy the hopes of Cubans, Venezuelans, Ecuadorians and Bolivians of returning to democracy and a free-market economy. It will also increase the danger of Marxism — and the greater poverty and corruption that Marxism engenders — for the rest of Latin America … and the United States.

During the last presidential campaign in Ecuador, Rafael Correa used the media to discredit the opposition and brainwash voters to vote for him. Once in power, Correa became a dictator. He is working with Hugo Chavez, imposing “socialismo del siglo XXI” (Marxism) in Ecuador and collaborating with Islamic terrorists. Informed Ecuadorians could not understand how the media could be so biased in favor of the leftist candidate Correa.

Many believe the media became corrupt because Hugo Chavez not only funded Correa’s multi-million presidential campaign, but also paid the media. Anyone trying to inform Ecuadorians regarding the real Rafael Correa was ridiculed, discredited, vilified, sued, accused of infractions or crimes, and finally silenced. As it happened in Ecuador, the mainstream media in the United States has also demonstrated unethical and unrestricted support for the leftist candidate, in this case, Barack Obama.

On the one hand, they have refused to report on important and relevant topics that reflect negatively on Obama. On the other hand, they have focused on trying to destroy Presidential candidate John McCain and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.  While most news reports about Obama are positive, most news reports about McCain are negative. And ever since Sarah Palin was nominated as the Vice Presidential candidate, the media have gone wild criticizing, ridiculing and insulting her at every turn. Most of those attacks have been factually wrong and intellectually dishonest.

In addition to attacking McCain and Palin, the mainstream media is also attacking anyone who tries to show Americans the real Obama. Even Joe the Plumber has been vilified for asking a question that prompted Obama to uncover his plan to “redistribute the wealth.”

The Mainstream Media and Jerome Corsi

The smear campaign against Jerome Corsi is a case in point.  Dr. Corsi (PhD Harvard) is a senior staff reporter of World Net Daily (WND) and the author of the New York Times No. 1 best-selling book, The Obama Nation.  An independent and courageous journalist, Corsi put his life and well-being at risk to travel to Kenya to dig up the truth about presidential candidate Obama. Corsi was rightfully concerned, as any thinking American should be, about Obama’s connections to Kenya’s thug Raila Odinga.

CNN attacked Corsi and defended Obama. “Book on Obama blasted for ‘vicious innuendo’” wrote the title of a CNN article. “There’s a new book out about Barack Obama that some say is riddled with pretty much every unsubstantiated rumor you’ve ever heard about the Illinois senator.”  CNN continued with negative comments against Corsi from the Obama camp, but it never bothered to cover the most important issue for Americans, the issue presented in Corsi’s book: the connection between Obama and his Marxist relative Odinga. The New York Times also focused on attacking Corsi’s credibility calling him a “gadfly.”  ”In the summer of 2004 the conservative gadfly Jerome R. Corsi shot to the top of the best-seller lists as co-author of “Unfit for Command,” began the New York Times article. Showing complete lack of ethics, the mainstream media has failed to properly inform Americans about what Obama did in Kenya.  They have justified ignoring this story based on comments from the Obama camp and details that perhaps need to be confirmed. However, the underlying (more important issues) are verifiably true. In August and September 2006, Senator Barack Obama traveled to South Africa, Chad, Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Kenya. While in Kenya, Obama consistently appeared at the side of fellow Luo Raila Odinga (“your agent for change”), who was running for President.

Obama’s partisan support for Odinga was so transparent, that the Kenyan Government spokesman, Alfred Matua, complained of political posturing to aid Odinga’s election chances: “It is very clear that the senator has been used as a puppet to perpetuate opposition politics.” (Source — Walking The World Stage, Newsweek 9/11/06.)  Obama used his elected office — and taxpayers’ dollars — to support Kenya’s Odinga, a violent Marxist thug who made a pact with the Muslims to institute Sharia (Islamic law) although only 10 percent of Kenyans are Muslim.

Odinga’s followers killed some 1000 people and burned 800 Christian churches, including one with 50 people, many of them children, inside. During a KTN interview in Kenya, Odinga admitted signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Muslims, but said the MOU did not include anything regarding Sharia because he’s an Anglican. However, Odinga LIED. In the MOU Odinga signed, he promised to “within 1 year facilitate the establishment of a Sharia court in every Kenyan divisional headquarters, to order primary schools to conduct daily Madrassa classes, to impose a total ban on open-air gospel crusades…” Read the MOU… Memorandum of Understanding Between Hon. Why is the U.S. media so desperate to support Obama as to hide important information Americans have the right to know? In their efforts to keep Americans ignorant of negative information about Obama, the U.S. mainstream media has lost all credibility.

Barack Obama has had close ties to Marxists, including unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and Obama’s relative Kenya’s Odinga, “Your Agent for Change,” the violent anti-American thug who made a pact with the Muslims to institute Sharia (Islamic law). Those ties, added to his plans to “redistribute the wealth,” concern many Americans.

There’s the hope, however, that even if Obama were elected, the checks and balances in the U.S. will make it impossible for Obama to impose Marxism in the U.S. and deliver the U.S. to its enemies.

But are those checks and balances in place? With Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the U.S. Congress has turned dangerously left and is being manipulated by the likes of Chávez and his Islamic terrorists and Russian friends. Only the worst can be expected if the U.S. ends up with a Marxist president working with a Congress manipulated by Marxists and Islamic terrorists.

On April 2008, Latin American U.S. friends were shocked to learn that Speaker of the U.S. House Nancy Pelosi not only refused to step forward and approve the vital Colombia free-trade agreement, but she prevented anyone else voting on it.

After President Bush submitted the pact to a vote under fast-track rules, she changed them to ensure it wouldn’t go anywhere anytime soon. By a 224 to 195 House vote, the voting timeline rule on trade pacts was changed from 90 days to whenever. Pelosi now can hold up Colombia’s treaty however long her caprice dictates.

“The message Democrats sent today,” Bush warned after Thursday’s vote, “is that no matter how steadfastly you stand with us, we will turn our backs on you when it is politically convenient.” President Bush was right.

In spite of tremendous pressure and intimidation from Chávez, Correa, FARC and all other anti-U.S. forces, Colombia’s president Álvaro Uribe has remained a steadfast friend of the U.S. And he has been able to provide more security and prosperity to Colombians than any other president in recent history.

Democrats Freeze the Colombian FTA with the “Chavez Rule,” was the headline at Noticias 24 following Pelosi’s historic move to block free trade with Colombia. (See Latin American Media Paints Pelosi As a Chavez Lackey.)

Within hours of the vote, Latin American media already were calling Pelosi’s maneuver the “Chavez Rule.”

Latin Americans could not understand how Pelosi could choose to harm America’s best ally in Latin America, punishing a vibrant democracy by isolating it from all the other nations that have sought and won free trade.

Unlike military aid, the free trade agreement costs the U.S. nothing, is too small to have much impact on the U.S. economy and is mainly about ending tariffs on U.S. goods sold in Colombia, matching the no-tariff trade that Colombian firms already get here. Chavez’s propaganda machine manipulated Pelosi and Congress.

In July 2008, Pelosi illicitly stepped outside her role as Speaker and attempted to institute her own foreign policy by communicating with left-wing Colombian Piedad Córdoba, telling her that she and Representative Jim McGovern (D-MA) were ready to help them arrange swaps of captured terrorists for hostages held by FARC terrorists. (Foreign policy is the exclusive role of the president and not the legislative branch.)

Piedad Córdoba, a close friend of Chavez, is a frequent visitor to the Venezuelan presidential palace. Córdoba is also trusted by the FARC and is often photographed with its leaders. She is an enemy of Uribe. Why was Pelosi working with an enemy of Uribe, a U.S. friend?

Informed Latin Americans wonder why Democratic Party leaders of the U.S. Congress are supporting the anti-U.S. Chavez-Morales-Correa bloc and are hurting U.S. friend Uribe. (Read USA Democratic Party Called Now to Declare Allegiances to Liberty or Andean Narco-communism.)

Manipulated by Chavez, Islamic terrorists and other enemies of the U.S., Americans may select the wrong candidate and destroy their future and the future of their children. It happened to Venezuelans, Bolivians and Ecuadorians who believed in CHANGE and YES WE CAN.

Freedom loving Venezuelans, Bolivians and Ecuadorians are hoping that a free and democratic U.S. will help them free themselves from Chavez, Russia and Iran. Those hopes may vanish if Obama is elected.

Wake up, Americans! It’s not too late yet. Save your country and save the world!

As someone born in Ecuador with friends and relatives in Latin America, I’m terrified watching how people in the United States are being manipulated just like people in Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador to put a Marxist in power.

The similarities between Rafael Correa’s campaign for president of Ecuador and that of Obama for U.S. president are amazing. Correa had no experience but was young, charismatic and had good speaking skills. Correa’s slogans were the same as Obama’s: CHANGE, YES WE CAN, etc.

Informed Ecuadorians were not able to convince their clueless compatriots that Correa was a fake and not the young and wonderful savior the media was portraying. They could not compete in ads with the millions Correa had (mostly from unknown sources).

Once he took over, Correa dissolved Congress and took control of the legislative and judicial powers. In other words, he became a dictator. Ecuadorians are poorer than ever. The CHANGE has been toward Marxism and greater poverty for all.

It’s now obvious that Correa works with Chávez and terrorists AGAINST Ecuadorians and the United States.

Most informed Ecuadorians, when they realized the similarities between Correa and Obama, felt confident that Americans could not be fooled as Ecuadorians had. However, it seems many Americans are as clueless as the poorest and most ignorant people in Ecuador or Bolivia.

I hope it’s not too late and Americans realize that Obama is a Marxist with ties to Islamic terrorists, just like Castro, Chávez, Morales, Correa and Odinga.

Having learned recently about Odinga’s campaign strategies from Jerome Corsi, I see that those strategies are almost identical not only to those of Obama, but also to the strategies of Chávez in Venezuela, Morales in Bolivia and Correa in Ecuador. Chávez, Morales and Correa are now dictators who are imposing “socialismo del siglo XXI” (Marxism) in their countries and are working with Islamic terrorists (Iran) against their people and against the U.S.

Here are Odinga’s campaign strategies, which you’ll see are also Obama’s:

1. The class issue – “elevate the emotions within all youth….be willing to vote for us in the protest.”
2. The media – “Since 2005, the Orange team has maintained intimate contacts across all media.” “victory in the media war could very well mean victory at the polls.”
3. Viral emails
4. Blogs/web forums
5. Corruption – “Branding the opponent as irredeemably corrupt will provide diversionary slavos” (Note diversionary tactic)
6. The age issue – “Our core supporters are essentially young people”
   “billboards and leaflets ridiculing the old people” “Raila with young people – the promise of a buoyant future” (Note “ridiculing old people.” This blog wrote about this when the Obama camp ridiculed Mccain in the video about emails.)
7. Ethnic Tensions/Violence as a last resort – “To discourage voter participation in hostile areas.” “Use ODM agents on the ground to engineer ethnic tensions in target areas.” (Note threat of race riots in this country)

We need to defend our future and the future of our children from a Marxist who is trying to take over through a strategy of lies, manipulation, intimidation and fraud. As you can see, fraud (through ACORN) is happening.
