Most of us will be glued to our televisions at 3PM this afternoon to watch Glenn Beck’s big speech at The Villages, a Florida retirement community. He has mobilized patriotic Americans to resist the Marxist takeover of the United States being perpetrated by the Obama administration.

Up until now, he has crusaded through his increasingly popular radio and television programs, leaving viewer ratings for the MSM networks in the dust. And last spring, he founded the 9-12 Project, a non-partisan social networking organization that gives coherence and clout to citizen protests.

But today he promises to announce a new direction. The Examiner reports:

Beck’s Saturday rally, which is set for 3 p.m., at the Villages (Near Lady Lake, Florida), will kick off his 2010 brainchild to win back Washington and preserve the Constitution. Glenn plans to announce details on his 2010 strategy at the rally.

Bottom line: The Marxist takeover of our country by Obama and his troops was facilitated by hordes of “community organizers” who had been training for years for that moment, in the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), among others. So millions of patriotic Americans will have to learn those skills to take our country back. And, starting next year, Glenn will be offering that education.

…but Glenn Beck did create an opportunity for various liberals to make fools of themselves.

Glenn and his producer set up a scam on The Glenn Beck Program yesterday. The camera crew did a close-up shot of a container full of live baby frogs on the table in front of Glenn, from which he removed one frog. During a moment when the camera was trained elsewhere, Glenn swapped that live frog for a rubber frog. Later, when the camera was on him again, he threw the rubber frog in a pot of water.

He was trying to draw a striking visual analogy between the traditional methods for cooking fresh seafood live — crabs, lobsters, etc. — and Barack Hussein Obama’s boiling alive of the US taxpayers with a rapid succession of gargantuan spending programs: porkulus, health care, cap and trade, $10 trillion welfare, and so on. As a delicious side effect of his carefully calculated theatrics, he exposed the utter stupidity of the liberal pundits.

The Christian Science Monitor jumped out of the gate with the headline — Glenn Beck boils cute little frog to death. Later, after some of their readers pointed out their folly, they amended the headline:

The once-respected Little Green Footballs screeched:

This might have been another Glenn Beck stunt, designed to deliberately provoke outrage. He might come on his show tomorrow and say, “Hah! Fooled all you liberal commies! Had you going!”

Or he might not. How sad is it that we even have to ask the question?

But even if it was a stunt, and no frog was killed … this is still amazingly sick. This show airs at a time in the early afternoon when children are watching.

We have news for you, LGF. You didn’t HAVE to ask the question. You could spend your energy writing about … oh, say … the war in Afghanistan, better solutions to health care shortfalls in the US, the coming commercial real estate crisis, energy alternatives. And just how many children do you think would sit still and watch Glenn Beck? You gotta be kidding!

There follows an incoherent post of ranting and sputtering which is regarded as intellectual activity in the liberal blogger’s genre.

And then, quick to jump on any scandal, there’s the Huffington Post, asking:

Did Beck Just Kill A Frog?

Holy s–t. Did Glenn Beck just kill a poor little frog, on national teevee? Yes! Or…no, maybe it was faked! Or maybe it was real, and Beck is now having to pretend he faked it? Or not! WHO KNOWS….

This is what passes for political commentary at the HuffPo these days. And then there’s the Los Angeles Times moralizing:

We’re not quite sure we can actually believe our eyes — but it seems that Fox News host Glenn Beck has thrown a live frog into boiling water on his television program….

See the video for yourself below. It’s not graphic, but — whether or not a live frog was actually used for this stunt — it’s certainly off-putting.

Really? I’ll bet all these caterwauling liberals have enjoyed their seafood this summer, without shedding a tear for the dying desperation of steamed crabs or for the lobsters writhing in boiling water as they perish. We know that their “messiah” enjoys his lobster:

Now, here’s the really funny part. At the end of the video clip, Glenn says:

Forget about the Republicans, because most of them are fake. Forget about the Democrats, because most of them are fake….

And there the video is abruptly cut off. Because in the very next breath, Glenn said that the frog was fake too. So all the liberal pundits, and the newspapers, did not even bother to check the original cable TV program. They were writing about the YouTube video clip!

An ACORN scandal in Baltimore, then Washington DC, and now New York City, with hints of still more to come. Plan to watch the Glenn Beck Program at 5PM Eastern Time today on FoxNews cable to find out what comes next. Rumor has it that today’s exposé is even worse than those already shown, although it is hard to imagine how that is possible.

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has long been plagued by scandal for voter fraud. Despite their dubious reputation, they have received over $53 million in taxpayer funds over the last 15 years, and were slated to get another $8.5 BILLION of stimulus pork from the Obama administration. They have enjoyed protected status since Barack Hussein Obama’s career was inextricably intertwined with ACORN activities.

Two young conservative activists, filmmaker James O’Keefe, 25, and journalism student Hannah Giles, 20, captured clandestine audio/video at multiple urban ACORN offices. Posing as a pimp and a prostitute, they sought help in getting a housing grant to set up a brothel and to prepare tax returns for the illegal income. They created a story that was as egregious as possible, declaring that they were going to import underage girls illegally from El Salvadore to work in the brothel, and planned to use the income to fund a run for Congress by O’Keefe.

Last Thursday, September 10, O’Keefe and Giles broke the story of their Baltimore sting. The next day, Friday, September 11, they released video of another sting in Washington DC. Dismayed by the worsening public perception of ACORN, the US Census Bureau dropped them from participation in the 2010 census. This created a jubilant mood among conservatives, who had seen ACORN’s influence as a way to rig the voting rolls to favor Democrats.

Saturday was completely dominated by the 9/12 March on Washington, and Sunday was devoted to analysis of the previous day’s accomplishments. Also on Sunday, O’Keefe and Giles released another video, this time of a sting in Brooklyn, New York. That was quickly followed on Monday by a Senate vote to block the Housing and Urban Development Department (HUD) from giving grants to ACORN.

The US Census Bureau has severed its ties with ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. Fox News reports:

The Census Director has sent a letter to the National Headquarters of ACORN notifying the group that the Census Bureau is severing all ties with the community organizing group for all work having to do with the 2010 census.

“Over the last several months, through ongoing communication with our regional offices, it is clear that ACORN’s affiliation with the 2010 Census promotion has caused sufficient concern in the general public, has indeed become a distraction from our mission, and may even become a discouragement to public cooperation, negatively impacting 2010 Census efforts,” read a letter from Census Director Robert M. Groves to the president of ACORN.

While vigilant citizens are rejoicing over this sudden turn of events, we must not be lulled into complacency. Note that only the census bureau has severed ties, and only for the 2010 census. We don’t know what other government agencies were slated to partner with ACORN in spending the $8.5 billion of stimulus pork that they were slated to receive. And there is nothing to preclude them from being rehired in 2011 for who knows what.

One sad note in all this is the fact that the government did not act on long-available information showing ACORN’s criminal activities until the publicity became dangerous to them. In July, the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform released a report detailing the many criminal abuses perpetrated by ACORN, and the Democrat-controlled government did nothing. Zip. Nada. Bupkis.

It wasn’t until a couple of young crusaders went undercover and made clandestine videos of wrongdoing that the government took action. This tells us loud and clear that the Democrats do not care whether their minions engage in criminal activity. They only care about the appearance of things. They want to disengage the watchdogs until the incident is forgotten. Then they will go back to business as usual, most likely with ACORN.

One final note about government hypocrisy merits consideration. When the award of $8.5 billion to ACORN was announced, the Obama White House said that ACORN would partner in the 2010 census. When it was announced today that ACORN would not be involved in the 2010 census, a census bureau official said that ACORN had been tapped for low-level data gathering. Which is it?

Rahm Emanuel managing the census in the White House? Or the census bureau in the Commerce Department?

Was ACORN a PARTNER or a LOW LEVEL FLUNKIE?

In retrospect, of course, encouraging customers like this to buy homes seems little short of madness.

At the time, however, that 1995 Chicago newspaper article represented something of a triumph for Barack Obama. That same year, as a director at Chicago’s Woods Fund, Obama was successfully pushing for a major expansion of assistance to ACORN, and sending still more money ACORN’s way from his post as board chair of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Through both funding and personal-leadership training, Obama supported ACORN. And ACORN, far more than we’ve recognized up to now, had a major role in precipitating the subprime crisis….

Barack Obama’s community thugs are getting hammered for the second day in a row. Yesterday saw the release of videos from an undercover sting that showed the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) office in Baltimore promoting illegal activity. Two young journalists did the exposé, all at their own expense, and their work was featured on the FoxNews Glenn Beck Program yesterday afternoon. When the news broke across the country, ACORN officials promptly dismissed this as an isolated incident, and fired the two Baltimore workers featured in the clandestine video.

Here’s the kicker! The two young crusaders had kept strategically mum about any efforts beyond Baltimore. Once ACORN’s national spokespersons had been lured into an untenable position in the public media, they released a second video today showing the same scenario at ACORN’s Washington, DC office.

Here’s the plot: Independent filmmaker James O’Keefe, 25, poses as a pimp who plans to run for Congress on the money earned by his prostitute girlfriend. Young journalism student Hannah Giles, 20, plays the role of the girlfriend — she wants to obtain a housing grant from the government to buy a house to use as a brothel. The pair plan to staff the establishment with 13 underage girls, 10 of whom will be imported illegally from El Salvador.

As O’Keefe said yesterday, they came up with the most ridiculous story they could think up, just to see if ACORN staffers would buy into it. And this has everything — procurement, illegal campaign contributions, prostitution, grant fraud, illegal business, sex with minors, illegal immigration, tax fraud, money laundering….

Over the past fifteen years, ACORN has received about $53 million in public funding. Under Obama, they are slated to get $8.5 billion from the stimulus pork. That is because Obama intends to make ACORN an equal partner with the government in the 2010 census.

Right after taking office, Obama removed the census from the Commerce Department, where it was under Congressional oversight, and placed it under Rahm Emanuel in the White House. Whether that is even legal is doubtful, but no one in government uttered a peep. Once Obama succeeds in completing a census with the collusion of ACORN, the voting landscape will be so skewed that he can change the law to whatever he likes and become president for life.

Barack Obama began his career as a lawyer for ACORN, he was inextricably involved with them throughout his days in the Daly Chicago political machine, and he intends to provide for them now with your taxpayer money.

Barack Hussein Obama has told us to judge him by the people he surrounds himself with… … … … … all right!

One day after two ACORN officials in Baltimore were fired for offering to help a man and woman posing as a pimp and prostitute to engage in child prostitution and a series of tax crimes, another secretly shot videotape has surfaced that shows the same couple getting similar advice from ACORN officers in Washington.

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has repeatedly and deliberately engaged in systemic fraud. Both structurally and operationally, ACORN hides behind a paper wall of nonprofit corporate protections to conceal a criminal conspiracy on the part of its directors, to launder federal money in order to pursue a partisan political agenda and to manipulate the American electorate.

Emerging accounts of widespread deceit and corruption raise the need for a criminal investigation of ACORN. By intentionally blurring the legal distinctions between 361 tax-exempt and non-exempt entities, ACORN diverts taxpayer and tax-exempt monies into partisan political activities. Since 1994, more than $53 million in federal funds have been pumped into ACORN, and under the Obama administration, ACORN stands to receive a whopping $8.5 billion in available stimulus funds.

Operationally, ACORN is a shell game played in 120 cities, 43 states and the District of Columbia through a complex structure designed to conceal illegal activities, to use taxpayer and tax-exempt dollars for partisan political purposes, and to distract investigators. Structurally, ACORN is a chess game in which senior management is shielded from accountability by multiple layers of volunteers and compensated employees who serve as pawns to take the fall for every bad act.

When Barack Obama issued a call to national service, being a Chicago-style pol, he meant HIS service. (We saw this reflected in his original lesson plans for the nation’s school children — “Write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president.”)

As health care legislation foundered, the Obama forces saw an opportunity to use the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to recruit artists to the national service of promoting the president’s agenda — “to help lay a new foundation for growth, focusing on core areas of the recovery agenda – health care, energy and environment, safety and security, education, community renewal.”

Despite the fact that this would be using public funds to advance partisan goals, three agencies went forward with plans for a conference call among about 75 leading artists on Monday, August 10th. These were the National Endowment for the Arts, the White House Office of Public Engagement overseen by Valerie Jarrett, and United We Serve. All three are government agencies.

The specific personnel involved in this endeavor were Yosi Sergant, the Director of Communications for the National Endowment for the Arts; Buffy Wicks, Deputy Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement; Nell Abernathy, Director of Outreach for United We Serve; Thomas Bates, Vice President of Civic Engagement for Rock the Vote; and filmmaker Michael Skolnik representing hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons.

The blatant political nature of this recruitment is betrayed by the inclusion of Rock the Vote. Although they pose as a non-partisan group with a mission to encourage young citizens to register to vote, they are currently engaged in a vigorous partisan campaign — “We demand health care NOW!” So the inescapable bottom line is that the White House planned to use public resources to promote the Democratic health care agenda, with the full knowledge of close Obama confidant Valerie “we love Van Jones” Jarrett, and therefore undoubtedly with the full knowledge of Barack Hussein Obama.

Among those participating was Patrick Courrielche, a filmmaker, marketer, and art community consultant who is also, it turns out, a decent American. Shocked by the attempt to use taxpayer money to further Democrat party goals, he tipped crusading Fox News talk show host Glenn Beck about the conference call. As of yesterday, Yosi Sergant is no longer Communications Director of the NEA. He is now just an ordinary employee. The Washington Post notes:

Beck Strikes Again; Yosi Sargent [sic] Reassigned at NEA

The National Endowment for the Arts has reassigned former communications director Yosi Sergant, who had become the latest target of FOX News talk show host Glenn Beck.

Acting NEA communications director Victoria Hutter said Thursday that Sergant had left the communications post. The move came after he had come under attack from Beck, a conservative commentator who accused Sergant of attempting to use taxpayer money to fund art to support the president’s initiatives….

The talk show host accused Sergant of arranging an August conference call with the White House Office of Public Engagement and United We Serve to recruit artists to create works in support of Obama policies. The NEA has denied that the call was inappropriate, and the White House has said that it did not force Sergant’s reassignment.

Sergant became well known during campaign 2008 for his work with artist Shepard Fairey around the iconic Obama HOPE poster, and first came to Washington as a staffer in the White House….

That is such a crock! The WaPo is trying to denigrate Glenn Beck by implying that he targeted this poor unfortunate artist. That is not the case. Glenn Beck is targeting the wannabe South-American-style-Marxist-dictator Barack Obama. And Glenn Beck never accused Sergant of attempting to use taxpayer money. The buck for this stops at the White House.

Patrick Courrielche understands this. He says:

An effort of this nature is not approved by the Communications Director of the NEA. The National Endowment for the Arts has still not answered who approved encouraging a handpicked arts group, one that played a key role in the President’s election as mentioned throughout the conference call, to create art on the very issues that are currently under contentious national debate – those being health care and cap-and-trade legislation.

Barack Obama is only interested in Barack Obama. He uses these people and then when the going gets rough due to his own mistakes he lets them take the fall. So Yosi follows Jeremiah and Van under the bus.

From The Wall Street Journal — ACORN Outdoes Itself. ACORN helps set up a supposed brothel.

I thought I’d heard every possible charge about corruption at ACORN, a feisty, union-backed activist group that became infamous last year when it was investigated for voter registration fraud in 15 states. Just yesterday, 11 ACORN workers were accused by Florida prosecutors of falsifying information on some 900 voter registration forms.

But this morning brings a Fox News report that ACORN officials in Baltimore offered to help get a housing loan and falsify tax documents for a proposed house of prostitution that would employ underage girls from El Salvador. The episode was captured on tape by an undercover filmmaker, James O’Keefe, who wanted to see just how far ACORN would go….

In helping Mr. O’Keefe set up his supposed brothel, ACORN employees also invited him to attend an August conference the group was holding for prospective home-buyers. But it linked attendance to Mr. O’Keefe joining ACORN and paying $120 in annual dues: “We ask that you join ACORN.” The problem is that such a request is illegal, since the ACORN housing conferences are underwritten by federal government grants. ACORN has a political arm, so insisting that attendees at its housing conferences join the group and pay dues is a no-no.

It was precisely that kind of activity that got ACORN in trouble during the Clinton administration. The Inspector General of AmeriCorps, the government’s volunteer agency, accused the group of “using government resources to promote legislation.” ACORN was stripped of its federal grant as a result….

Dear readers, do you recall that Obama said we could judge him by the people he chooses to surround himself with?

Early this morning, the White House announced the resignation of Obama’s “green jobs czar” Van Jones, a self-avowed communist.

Jones’ problems began when talk show host Glenn Beck (Fox News Channel, 5PM weekdays) began exposing his past activities and associations as Marxism. And Jones himself had provided ample material, in a plethora of written commentary and videotaped fiery speeches. He was, as pundits put it, the gift that keeps on giving.

Nevertheless, that history alone would probably not have been enough to derail his government participation. He is gone, not because of Glenn Beck’s exposé, but because of his own attitude and the way that he reacted.

Van Jones, like Barack and Michelle Obama, sees a starkly black and white world in which blacks have historically been disadvantaged by whites. His papers and speeches reek of bitterness. He thinks, not in terms of bringing present balance, but in terms of blacks now having the upper hand with Obama’s incumbency and getting even with whites by redistributing their wealth.

Even with his reverse racism so blatantly displayed, Jones might have survived. But instead of rising above Beck’s criticism like a statesman, and concentrating on doing his job well, he fought back with dirty Chicago-style politics. His advocacy organization, ColorOfChange, tried to force Glenn Beck off the air by persuading advertisers to pull their support from the Glenn Beck Program.

That was too much for the American public. They were expecting him to spend his time creating green jobs, not organizing a boycott. And so he is gone.

By last Thursday, it was pretty clear to everyone that Van Jones would have to go. The hot topic on Twitter was #FireVanJones. But in a clever political ploy, the White House released the news via email in the wee morning hours on Sunday on a holiday weekend. That sort of timing is standard operating procedure for damage control — to release the news on a weekend or holiday when nobody is reading the papers. Obama certainly got a break here, a weekend and a holiday!

School attendance will be down on September 8 as parents give kids a P.A.S.S. to stay home — that’s a Parentally Approved Skip School. The movement started spreading like wildfire on Twitter yesterday afternoon, in response to the announcement of Obama’s plan to brainwash our school children.

Parents throughout the United States spontaneously decided to keep their kids home that day, as evidenced by comments all over the Blogosphere. But two mothers on Twitter, Tammy and Sherri, gave the idea coherence and focus. Here Sherri is a call-in to the Glenn Beck program:

Apparently, Our Beloved Leader, Barack Hussein Obama, the most merciful, Lion of the Masses, Protector of the Common Man and Omnipotent Parental Figure, will give an address on September 8 to America’s school children. In protest of the forced ObamaTV viewing in classrooms across the nation everyone is encouraged to participate in a National Skip Day and keep your kids home. Take the opportunity to teach your kids true life lessons and not subject them to Obama propaganda. Maybe even use the day to make protest posters for the 912 March on DC!!

The U.S. Department of Education, apparently with the expanded role of overtly propagandizing America’s youngsters, has thoughtfully prepared “learning materials” for teachers to use in preparation for this historic and truly unprecedented event. They have been very thorough, preparing “Classroom Materials” in two separate packages, one directed at children “preK-6″ the other of students in grades “7-12.” Note: “preK-6″ implies that the Dear Beloved Leader anticipates his message being broadcast to pre-kindergarten children.

In response to the firestorm of controversy over the Hitler-style indoctrination of young people, the White House had the proposed class outlines revised “to clarify the language.” In other words, having tipped their Marxist hands, they are backpedalling.

As Allahpundit notes at Hot Air:

I’m guessing this won’t lead to any changes of heart among those fearful enough of Hopenchange brainwashing to pull their kid out of school next Thursday, but it does take a key talking point away from them.

Meanwhile, the nation’s homeschoolers are congratulating themselves for the wisdom of their educational strategy.

UPDATE, 4PM: Several schools in Kentucky are giving parents an “opt out” offer, similar to those made on religious grounds — Should kids hear Obama?. That seems appropriate, since Obama seems to think he is a messiah!

UPDATE, 7PM: One taxpayer called the principal of the McGarity Elementary School outside of Atlanta. She asked “what the plan is for the children whose parents do not want them to sit through the indoctrination speech.” The principal told her,

“When the children are in school, the school acts as the parent. That is the law.”

This brush-off is hard to reconcile with the fact that the principal, Barbara G. Cook, is the mother of a Marine who served in Iraq.
