The Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge is three counties deep, and 80 miles into America — including portions that extend north of Tucson. Obama has, effectively, ceded the entire National Park to illegal aliens. And, to help ensure the park’s transfer to illegal aliens, and according to Sheriff Paul Babeu of Pinal County, Obama suspended the fence construction on the park’s border with Mexico.
The park is now a protected freeway for illegal aliens, whose numbers include many Mexican para-military units and potential terrorists from mid-Eastern countries. And, Obama refuses the use of America’s military to help prevent the invasion, despite repeated requests by Arizonans, led by Governor Jan Brewer and Senator John McCain.
Instead of addressing the invasion, Obama has placed warning signs around the park to advise Americans not to enter this now-protected invasion trail. As Sheriff Paul Babeu explains,
“It’s shameful that we, as the most powerful nation on earth, can win wars and liberate countries throughout our history, yet we cannot even secure our own border and protect our own families. And, this is why crime in Arizona literally is and has been among the highest in the nation. And we need help!”
Refusal to protect our border in times of military invasion, a Constitutional obligation of the President, is an impeachable offence. From Wikipedia — the definition of High Crimes and Misdemeanors:
The charge of high crimes and misdemeanors covers allegations of misconduct that do not fall under a more clearly defined impeachable offence; e.g., high treason. This charge occurs only in cases of parliamentary impeachment and is unrelated to any offence in criminal law.

…and weaken the Republican party. The McCain toady is in bed with Obama and GE will push the renewable energy bill.
Sellout Senator Lindsay (Gramshi) Graham (R-SC) is working with GE lobbyists to draft “the Clean Energy Act of 2009,” which will mandate that 20 percent of electricity come from “clean energy sources” by 2020 and 50 percent by 2050.
GE CEO, Jeff Immelt, bet the farm in developing “green” energy-generating products and Graham has been out front among Republicans regurgitating the myth that fossil fuels destroy the planet to undercut free markets and increase energy prices on the American people. Tom Borelli writes in Lindsay Graham Seeks to Bail Out General Electric and Rescue Obama’s Energy Policy:
Immelt does not want to compete in the open marketplace. Rather, he wants to game the political system by working with Congress to mandate demand for GE’s products, either by increasing the price of fossil fuels through a cap-and-trade system or via a Graham-type bill that requires power generation from renewable energy sources.”
From the rubble of the anthropomorphic global warming scam, America does not need to dig out renewable energy laws. But GE needs mandates to push its wind and solar power products, and South Carolina’s gelding appears to have been for sale. His clean energy definition mirrors GE’s business strategy for renewable energy, clean coal technology, and nuclear energy. The New York Times reports:
Several sources said General Electric Co. helped Graham in crafting the legislative language. GE has the world’s largest gas turbine manufacturing plant, in Greenville, S.C., and the company also is leading development of new nuclear reactors and a “clean coal” technology known as integrated gasification combined cycle, which has the capacity to capture and permanently sequester carbon emissions.
John McCain has mentored his toady well, i.e., wait until victory is at hand; then board your ass, cross the aisle, insert your dagger deep in the back of your party leader, and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory to the chant of “Maverick! Maverick!” from the adoring gaggle of gathered propagandists commissioned to praise your heroic deeds.
Graham has been a patsy for the political left since his days on the Hyde Committee, which processed the impeachment of Bill Clinton. He double-crossed Henry Hyde and was the only Republican to join with Committee Democrats and vote against the perjury charge, the keystone article of the three articles of impeachment.
Gramshi is a big-government, self-promoting RINO who is out of step with the beliefs of most Republican voters, but he won’t be up for reelection until 2014, which means the party must endure another five years of his treachery. But it’s not too late to do something about the treacherous actions of his mentor.
Megan’s faux conservative daddy is facing a bona fide conservative challenger in J.D. Hayworth for the senate seat in Arizona. If Arizona Republicans are serous about saving their party and ridding the country of the tyrannical policies of the progressive Democrats, they will send Graham’s maverick mentor home to spend time with his insufferable daughter.

Over the last 25 years, John McCain has been in the middle of just about federal issue. He has been a voice of reason. He has stood up to everybody, including his own party whenever necessary.

Tuesday night, Sen. McCain gave a wonderful concession speech.
It was very sad to watch such a career end in defeat. However, it did. I guess timing is important in politics.
Why did McCain lose? I think that it’s tough to win 3 in a row. Just ask Nixon ’60, Humphrey ’68, Ford ’76 and Gore ’00.
Reagan is the only president who was succeeded by his own party. It happened in 1988 when VP Bush defeated Dukakis.
We say thank you to McCain.
Of course, McCain will be around until 2012 when his term expires. My guess is that he will be a key player in the US Senate again, specially as we rebuild the party along lowered taxes and spending.
Thank you Sen. McCain! [I spoke about Sen. McCain and the election in general in Wednesday's radio show. You can listen to the archived version here -- Let's talk about the election.]

The Nobama Network has this to say about the presidential election:
Breaking News: Obama buys himself the Presidency!
America, this is not your first mistake, but it is your worst! The question now is how long will we have to live with this anti-American cancer. God Help Us Now!

The cost? Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings for Barack Obama through October 15 record $639.2 million. FEC filings for John McCain through October 15 total $335.3 million.
It is just what you would expect from a real estate transaction. The seller (the American electorate) went with the highest bidder.

After victory in WWII, no one would have believed that a scant sixty-three years later this great country would collapse — not at the hands of an external enemy, but from internal corrosion. When the Berlin Wall was torn down by exuberent Germans from both sides in late 1989, marking the end of the cold war and supposedly the end of the challenge of communism, no one could have possibly imagined that a scant nineteen years later socialism would triumph over capitalism in the United States.
Writing in Britain’s Weekly Telegraph magazine Spectator, Melanie Phillips provides an articulate statement of the prospects for our country with an Obama presidency:
Is America really going to do this?
The impact of the financial crisis on the American presidential election has somewhat obscured the most important reason why the prospect of an Obama presidency is giving so many people nightmares. This is the fear that, if he wins, US defences will be emasculated at a time of unprecedented international peril and the enemies of America and the free world will seize their opportunity to destroy the west….
…the only way to assess their position is to look at each man in the round, at what his general attitude is towards war and self-defence, aggression and appeasement, the values of the west and those of its enemies and – perhaps most crucially of all – the nature of the advisers and associates to whom he is listening. As I have said before, I do not trust McCain; I think his judgment is erratic and impetuous, and sometimes wrong. But on the big picture, he gets it. He will defend America and the free world whereas Obama will undermine them and aid their enemies….
Over at National Review‘s The Corner, Mark Levin is equally amazed:
The Obama Temptation
I’ve been thinking this for a while so I might as well air it here. I honestly never thought we’d see such a thing in our country – not yet anyway – but I sense what’s occurring in this election is a recklessness and abandonment of rationality that has preceded the voluntary surrender of liberty and security in other places. I can’t help but observe that even some conservatives are caught in the moment as their attempts at explaining their support for Barack Obama are unpersuasive and even illogical. And the pull appears to be rather strong. Ken Adelman, Doug Kmiec, and others, reach for the usual platitudes in explaining themselves but are utterly incoherent. Even non-conservatives with significant public policy and real world experiences, such as Colin Powell and Charles Fried, find Obama alluring but can’t explain themselves in an intelligent way.
There is a cult-like atmosphere around Barack Obama, which his campaign has carefully and successfully fabricated, which concerns me. The messiah complex. Fainting audience members at rallies. Special Obama flags and an Obama presidential seal. A graphic with the portrayal of the globe and Obama’s name on it, which adorns everything from Obama’s plane to his street literature. Young school children singing songs praising Obama. Teenagers wearing camouflage outfits and marching in military order chanting Obama’s name and the professions he is going to open to them. An Obama world tour, culminating in a speech in Berlin where Obama proclaims we are all citizens of the world. I dare say, this is ominous stuff.
Even the media are drawn to the allure that is Obama. Yes, the media are liberal. Even so, it is obvious that this election is different. The media are open and brazen in their attempts to influence the outcome of this election. I’ve never seen anything like it….
But beyond the elites and the media, my greatest concern is whether this election will show a majority of the voters susceptible to the appeal of a charismatic demagogue. This may seem a harsh term to some, and no doubt will to Obama supporters, but it is a perfectly appropriate characterization. Obama’s entire campaign is built on class warfare and human envy. The “change” he peddles is not new. We’ve seen it before. It is change that diminishes individual liberty for the soft authoritarianism of socialism. …. The “hope” Obama represents, therefore, is not hope at all. It is the misery of his utopianism imposed on the individual….
The question is whether enough Americans understand what’s at stake in this election and, if they do, whether they care. Is the allure of a charismatic demagogue so strong that the usually sober American people are willing to risk an Obama presidency?….
Another chilling picture of America under Obama is provided by USA Wake Up.
You awake each day to the Muslim muezzin call to prayer from the neighborhood mosque – as millions of Europeans already do.
Liberals espouse “diversity is our strength” as Islamic enforcers cruise the cities in their quest to shutter, or harass any establishment that is contrary to Islamic “sharia” Law. Guns are confiscated and stiff penalties are dished out to citizens who defy the new anti-gun laws. Women are told to cover their hair and face when in public.
You are cautious about attending public events or being part of any large crowd as these are the favorite targets of suicide bombers in their quest to exhibit violence against non-Muslims who resist conversion or surrender. Dissent has been stifled since the Fairness Doctrine was reinstated….

From officers to enlisted men, veterans overwhelmingly support the McCain/Palin ticket. Here’s a letter issued jointly by two of them — Admiral Robert J. Kelly, USN (retired), former Commander-in-Chief, US PacificFleet, and Master Chief Billy C. Sanders, USN (retired), former Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy.
There are now only 10 days remaining until the most important election of our lifetime. Following the daily polls is a dizzying experience and, as we all know, their predictions have been wrong as many times as they have been right. The Obama Campaign and the media would have you believe the race is “in the bag”. John McCain says he likes to fight from behind, AND he has the track record to back that up. Given the current economic crisis, the carnage in the stock market and the Republican Party’s record over the last eight years it is absolutely amazing that John McCain is as close as he is. …. This race is far from over and we believe that the election will come down to the wire. Do not let anyone convince you otherwise.
Our entire effort … has been to stress that Commander in Chief is the most important role our Presidents fulfill. With certainty, the next President will face enormous National Security challenges around the globe and within our borders and we believe that John McCain is the best man on this ticket to face these challenges. It is as simple as that. Unfortunately, this issue has been blown off the front page by the economic crisis that will resolve in due time. We veterans are hurting financially with the rest of Americans, but our experience tells us that during these hard times it is vital that we keep focused on doing what is necessary to ensure our freedom is preserved. The polling of vets is remarkably consistent. An overwhelming majority in all services support John McCain.
In the days remaining it is important to speak out to family, friends and neighbors about National Security. Call in to radio talk stations and trumpet your support of the McCain/Palin ticket. Put signs in your yard, wave them on street corners and do not be intimidated by the pushy, sometimes discourteous tactics of Obama supporters. Think about and discuss the frightening prospect of an Obama Administration working with a Congress controlled by Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi and Senator Harry Reid….
Keep up the good work, keep the faith and pray that the American people are smarter that some of the polls currently indicate….

Following his unsuccessful primary campaign for US President, Fred Thompson formed a political action committee (PAC) to support conservative candidates. Here is his just-released video endorsing the Republican ticket.
The Society of Americans for National Existence (SANE) commented on Fred’s video:
Fred Thompson is not worried because this is America…
…well Fred, you’re an articulate spokesman for “conservatives” but we have to tell you, we’re worried. Why? Because you spend 12 minutes and miss the problem of an America where the Obamas (the Elite) and the poorer cousins of the Obamas (growing minority “victim” class that resents White Christians as “institutionalized racists, imperialists, and colonialists”) voting in numbers that simply drown out the “Joe the Plumbers”. You speak of the “fabric” of this nation but that fabric has been converted from a distinct People imbued by and enmeshed in the Judeo Christian worldview of the Europeans who came to these shores to a multicultural, multi-colored quilt that has no pattern or meaning or truth beyond how many of the masses of “victims” of White institutionalized racism, imperialism, and colonialism can be registered to vote and bused to the polls on any given election day. If that demographic doesn’t “speak to you”, you just aren’t listening to the footsteps of the Million Man March. But hey, a little Reaganesque optimism is always a nice temporary balm….

Putting things into perspective…
Barack Obama has put out an ad saying that simple-minded John McCain cannot use a computer.
Well, guess what! Barack cannot land a jet plane on an aircraft carrier at night.
And that’s that.

This morning The Jewish Press, America’s largest independent Jewish weekly, endorsed John McCain for President.
The Jewish Press heartily endorses John McCain for president of the United States.
Senator McCain has long been the poster boy for what’s made America great. He heroically served our nation in the Vietnam War, doing what he was called on to do and going well beyond, incurring great personal suffering and deprivation he could have avoided simply by trading on his family connections. For five years he famously declined to abandon his fellow prisoners and end his travail. In a time of political pandering and rank opportunism, Sen. McCain’s courage, integrity and fortitude are traits to be treasured in a national leader.
And in a period of corrosive inter-party political strife, Sen. McCain offers a solid record of bipartisanship….
From where we sit, Sen. Obama emerges as a representative of the radical left, which does not accept the notion of American exceptionalism and the presumptive validity of American tradition. We recall his gratuitous ridicule of those middle Americans who, supposedly out of frustration, “cling to their religion and their guns.”
We fear Sen. Obama is not intent on merely changing this or that policy but the system in its entirety….
Perhaps among the most troubling things about Sen. Obama was his recent comment to the now famous “Joe the plumber.” When “Joe” asked him why he planned to raise taxes on him, Sen. Obama responded: “It’s not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too. I think that when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”
This a radical departure from mainstream thinking in our country. It is one thing for the government to provide for the less fortunate and for those in dire need. It is quite another to embrace a scheme to arbitrarily redistribute the wealth from the get-go in order to institutionally equalize the situation of all Americans.
In addition to the concerns we have as Americans about Sen. Obama’s decidedly leftist predilections, those of us with a particular interest in Israel are troubled by the prospects of an Obama presidency. His political bent, facile changes of position and overall failure to stick to his word make us leery of the reliability of his oft-stated commitment to the Jewish state. We have no such hesitancy about Sen. McCain.
If you have time, visit The Jewish Press and read all of this article. It is a very reasoned and well-thought-out endorsement.

A month or so ago, Presidential candidate John McCain took a lot of heat when he didn’t know how many homes his wife owned. Now he’s taking more heat, because his wife has several automobiles. McCain himself only has one car registered in his name — a Cadillac CTS, which barely qualifies as a luxury car. The other dozen or so all belong to his wife. And so what if two of them are foreign-made? The other 11 are all American-made, which shows the McCains have done 11 times as much as the one-car Obamas to stimulate the American automobile industry.
Next, what is wrong with owning several homes? If your father had fulfilled the American dream by starting his own company, and as an honest, hard-working businessman, made a fortune over the years, wouldn’t you be proud of him? That’s what Cindy Hensley McCain’s father did. As his only child, she inherited the $300-million dollar business. What was she supposed to do with her inheritance — give it away?
And if she chooses to invest some of her money in real estate, what is wrong with that? For every house, outbuilding, swimming pool, and square foot of real estate in her name, she pays taxes, hires household staff, and insures and maintains the property. This is certainly a better economic stimulus for those local municipalities where she owns the property, than if she had chosen instead to invest her money in some Wall Street corporate entity that is now on the brink of bankruptcy for gross mismanagement.
And indications are that the McCains are extremely generous with charitable contributions — much more so than the miserly Obamas, whose church and charitable contributions have averaged a measly 2.2% of their gross earnings over a seven-year period. So much for the Biblical principle of tithing, which Trinity United Church of Christ must not stress. For the sake of comparison, in 2006 and 2007, John McCain’s tax returns reveal he gave an average of 28% of his income to charitable causes.
In fact, studies have shown that conservatives are much more likely to give larger amounts to charity than liberals. Liberals are generous with other people’s money — but not necessarily their own (with some exceptions, of course). Conservatives, especially those who “cling to guns and religion,” believe in giving to charitable causes because it’s the right thing to do, because Jesus equated giving spontaneously from a generous heart the same as giving directly to Him. In His words, “…Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Matt. 25:40). In the previous verses He had spoken of providing clothes, food and water to those in need.
Obama and his campaign managers like to portray the McCains as elitist snobs because they have so much wealth. It’s obvious from Senator McCain’s inability to answer the questions about cars and homes, however, that their wealth is irrelevant and unimportant to him — as incidental as how many suits he has, which he probably doesn’t know, either. Do you know how many suits are hanging in your closet? That’s okay; I don’t either, and I’m not anywhere near rich.
John McCain’s interest is in our country and its future. He could easily forsake public service and live a life of luxury, rotating from one mansion to the next. Having resided in the Hanoi Hilton prison camp for five years, he is certainly entitled to settle back, take it easy, and enjoy the rest of his life. But he is a man who is compelled as a statesman and a patriot, to want to give whatever time he has left to his country in a life of service, to preserve freedom, justice and liberty.
As an anonymous soldier once wrote on a C-ration box in Khe Sahn, “For those who have fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.” John McCain knows the flavor of freedom, and he wants to protect our country from the forces of evil that are bent on its destruction.
