A Missouri VA hospital may have infected veterans with hepatitis and HIV. A failure by dental technicians to clean instruments properly at a VA hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, may have exposed nearly 2,000 veterans to hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

The John Cochran VA Medical Center recently notified 1,812 veterans that they could have been infected with hepatitis and HIV viruses after visiting the medical center for dental work.

Dr. Gina Michael, the association chief of staff at the hospital, said that some dental technicians neglected to properly sanitize dental equipment. According to Michael, the techs thought they were doing the right thing in protecting the delicate instruments by hand washing them in a sink with strong soap instead of following protocol and sending them to the hospital sanitizing and sterilizing department.

The hand washing of tools had been on going for over a year (February 2009 – March 2010) until discovered by a routine inspection from headquarters. Michael is urging those who were exposed to blood borne pathogens to get blood tests.

In a letter to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Congressman Russ Carnahan (D-MO) called the issue “unacceptable” and asked for a formal investigation and a remedy so that the unfortunate issue “never occurs again.”

The VA health care system demonstrates the real-world effects of socialized medicine. For decades VA hospitals have mistreated veterans and only recently have made minor improvements in record keeping and medical care, yet serious deficiencies remain.

In the run-up to the government health care takeover, Carnahan was Brother O’s toady touting the efficiencies and surplus of a government-run healthcare system.

During a St. Louis Community College healthcare forum, Carnahan was asked, “If it’s so good, why doesn’t Congress have to be on it?” Carnahan ignored his constituent’s question. We can only hope his constituents return the favor and ignore him in November.

Had ANY FOX female reporter made the comment that Helen Thomas made about sending the Jews back to their real homes in Germany & Poland her career would’ve ended INSTANTLY & the uproar from the 90% of the MEDIA that is Democrat would’ve erupted like a Category 5 hurricane against her & the network with demands for constant apologies & amends. Instead, the obviously longtime ignorant bigot Ms. Thomas was allowed to “retire.” You see Helen Thomas has been part of the Democrat MEDIA & she’s on the “right” side just like fellow ignoramuses Couric, Maher, Olberman, Matthews, van den Heuvel, Conason, Carville, & the rest who can say & do anything because they’re Democrats.

This situation began in the 1930s with the Democrat Marxist takeover of the MEDIA & ACADEMIA during the New Deal. It survives because of the fantasy grown through McCarthyism that the Communist penetration of the US during FDR’s Democrat Administration either didn’t happen or was harmless. Alger Hiss is defended as being persecuted by the “evil” Nixon & Whittaker Cambers & his PROVEN treason is ignored. These lies are bundled behind the Democrat fantasy of WW II as the Last Good War. How did Marxism through socialism which is its addictive form spread throughout Europe right after the War? Answer: America’s Democrat Party HELPED! Today, this same effort is going on world wide through the Marxist UN created by FDR’s Democrat Traitor Alger Hiss.

Helen Thomas’s comments by themselves are a demonstration of abysmal ignorance & stupidity. Anyone with a modicum of understanding of the history of Western Civilization knows that Jews & all original Christians come from the Holy Land. Muslims only entered the area through military invasion & later conversion by the sword. Of course, most of the Democrat MEDIA are as ignorant as Helen Thomas. And, Thomas & her colleagues have a built-in Marxist bigotry towards any people who have actually made their own way in the world through their individual effort as opposed to the herd collective efforts of their Marxist brethren or the failed beggars of Islam & the 3rd World.

But, Democrats have had remarkable success selling their party of reactionary bigots as the party of the “common man” or more idiotically as the party of “civil rights.” Ms. Thomas’s hatred for Jews is consistent with the party that allowed FDR’s Democrat Administration to refuse to allow the Jewish passengers of the German ocean liner St. Louis dock in the US after they had bought themselves away from Hitler. It was also consistent with Democrat President for Life FDR’s refusal to deal with the German Resistance to Hitler who were the only people who could save millions through ending the War & the Holocaust.

Helen Thomas personifies the intolerance for democracy & individual liberty of the Democrat Party from before the Civil War until today. Ms. Thomas’ bigotry fits perfectly in the long time Democrat tactic of Class Warfare which by itself is a recipe for constant turmoil. American democracy depends on finally “pacifying” the Democrat Party in order to end its constant virus of us-versus-them conflict which is designed to maintain its power. America needs 2 patriotic political parties to survive not just the Republican Party alone as the one standing for its citizens while the Democrats constantly search for a new class of “deprived” to clamor for their fair share under the guidance & control of the Democrat Party.

An even better example of Democrat MEDIA bigotry is Rosie O’Donnell who has herself made comments as ignorant & bigoted as Helen Thomas but who has the added advantage of being a multiple “deprived” with her status as GAY, ignorant & UGLY. Rosie is a staunch defender of Helen Thomas, Islamic Terror & degenerate 3rd World behavior against the success of the Judeo-Christian Tradition. Rosie wallows in her ignorance while constantly being employed by the Democrat MEDIA because she’s one of them. America’s current lack of a “free press” makes 2 November 2010 a Gettysburg of elections.

There is increasing evidence that demonstrators hired by the Democrats are encouraged to practice intimidation and provoke violence. This is a two-pronged strategy:

1. Those who oppose Obama’s socialism come from a demographic of good-mannered people, including many seniors, who have worked and saved and taken responsibility for themselves. In general, they are the sort who socially avoid confrontation and rude behavior. In counterpoint, the thugs being hired by the liberal front organizations to attend the meetings are from the lower economic levels of our society — generally young unemployed, uncultured, uneducated roughnecks who are looking for a handout and are accustomed to physical violence. The ordinary citizens, who largely comprise the opposition to Obama, might be intimidated into staying away from town hall meetings if the events become dangerous, allowing the Dems to create the illusion that there is not much sentiment against their Orwellian program.
2. If the Dems are successful in creating violence at the town hall meetings, they will twist the facts to blame their opposition. They expect to get away with that, given the complicity of the mainstream media — who will not closely examine what happened or who will even misreport the facts to support the liberal agenda. The narrative is, “Why would somebody who favors the health care legislation cause trouble? If there are problems, they must by definition be caused by the opposition.”

Case 1.  We saw how things were going to be in an episode of voter intimidation outside a polling place in Philadelphia on November 4. Two members of the New Black Panther Party in military-style uniforms, one carrying a nightstick, blocked the entrance:

A couple of New Black Panthers – militia-attired, beret-wearing, jackbooted jackasses – one of them carrying a nightstick, stood in front of a polling place at 1212 Fairmount Ave. last November intimidating voters and blocking the entrance….

Before police and press arrived … the Black Panthers were much more menacing and did block the polling-place entrance. As he was being led away by police, the man with the baton, identified as King Samir Shabazz, shouted: “You are about to be ruled by the black man, cracker.”….

Case 2.  Black conservative Kenneth Gladney was attacked by Service Employees International Union (SEIU) members on the evening of August 6 at Rep. Russ Carnahan’s town hall in St. Louis. They were clearly identified as union thugs, wearing the purple logo tee-shirt of the SEIU. The victim required hospital care. One of the assailants was arrested. Watch video of the attack:

Case 3.  On August 11, Congressman Adam Schiff (D-29) held an outdoor town hall meeting in Alhambra, California. Opponents of ObamaCare were shoved away by SEIU operatives:

They chanted “Freedom Yes; Obama Care No!” On Aug. 11, Hundreds of conservatives, libertarians, and anti-tax protesters showed up to an outdoor “town hall” meeting in Alhambra sponsored by Congressman Adam Schiff. Protesters were kept in the back. And as you can see by the video, any attempt by a protester to get closer to Schiff was met with strong arm, or in this particular case “strong bellied,” tactics by the SEIU.

Case 4.  An eyewitness account of a town hall held by Barack Obama in the tiny town of Belgrade, Montana on August 14 reports deliberate provocation by SEIU thugs who were bussed in from other places to attend the meeting:

The groups that wanted to protest Obama’s spending and healthcare had gotten a permit to protest and that area was roped off. But that was not to be. A large bus carrying SEIU (Service Employees International Union) members drove up onto the area (illegal)and unloaded right there. It was quite a commotion and there were specifically 2 SEIU men trying to make trouble and start a fight. Police did get involved and arrested the one man but they said they did not have the manpower to remove the SEIU crowd. The SEIU crowd was very organized and young. About 99% were under the age of 30 and they were not locals! They had bullhorns and PROFESSIONALLY made signs. Some even wore preprinted T-shirts….

Those against healthcare/spending moved away from the SEIU crowd to avoid confrontation. They were orderly and respectful, even though SEIU kept coming over and walking through, continuing to be very intimidating and aggressive….

Case 5.  On Tuesday, August 18, Democratic Congressman Gene Green (TX-29th) held a town hall in Houston. At this event, the aggression came from members of La Raza (The Race), a militant advocacy organization for Hispanic immigrants, legal and illegal. From an eyewitness account:

A member of the group La Raza argued with and attacked one of the attendees of Gene Green’s Townhall meeting on Tuesday, August 18. He became violent and Houston Police took him to jail. The LaRaza members continued to confront us over the course of the night… we remained calm and stayed away but they kept it up! The night ended with a Mariachi band… we couldn’t believe it!! This is what’s going on in Texas, folks… and it could happen to America!! They admit they’re “taking over America” and that they want to “kick us out”….

Case 6.  At a town hall meeting held by Congressman Tom Rooney in Stuart, Florida on the evening of August 18, an Obamacare activist spit on Red County Editor Everett Wilkinson:

….I then walked out to the front of the building where I saw the same group of people arguing with a guy. One young guy in a camouflage shirt with a thick British accent, aka Obamacare activist, kept pressing forward and shoving the older gentleman.

It was at this point that myself and another gentleman, John Fels, stepped in to break up a potential nasty fight. The Obamacare activist then tried to fight with us. An argument insued, with the Obamacare activist giving a speech for his camera guy. At that point John and I walked away. The Obama activist then became upset that we were not fighting with him – came up from behind me, spit on me and took off running. While being pursued by the sheriff deputies, the activist keyed a car. He was arrested shortly after that….

The plan for Obamacare activists (Moveon.org, DNC, HCAN, etc.) appears to be very simple:

1. Build a team of 5 people.
2. Have one with a video camera.
3. Another person shouting at people to start a fight.
4. The other team members clap and cheer on the “bait” (actual term they used).

About fifty years ago I was active in politics in Buffalo, New York, where the ethnic mix of first-generation Polish, Italian, and German immigrants made for some interesting election campaigns in the inner city. Most of my crowd viewed politics as carrying designating petitions, holding rallies, arranging speeches, fundraisers, and the like. But as one old guy told me, “Deez meatballss don’t know what politikss iz.” To him it meant a menu of intimidation techniques to squelch the opposition. Now that Chicago-style “community organizer” Barack Hussein Obama, aka Barry Sotero, aka Barry Dunham is in the White House, we are all finding out “what politikss iz.”

UPDATE, August 23:  From the Washington Times — Voight: Is Obama creating a civil war in America?:

“Do not let the Obama administration fool you with all their cunning Alinsky methods. And if you don’t know what that method is, I implore you to get the book ‘Rules for Radicals,’ by Saul Alinsky. Mr. Obama is very well trained in these methods,” he continues, citing a television campaign critical of the Republican Party and contentious town-hall meetings about health care reform.

“The real truth is that the Obama administration is professional at bullying, as we have witnessed with ACORN at work during the presidential campaign. It seems to me they are sending down their bullies to create fist fights among average American citizens who don’t want a government-run health care plan forced upon them,” Mr. Voight says. “So I ask again. Is President Obama creating a civil war in our own country?”
