Prior to his recent retirement, Dr. Rudolf Bickel was the founder and director of Family Care in the Plains, The Plains, Virginia. He is the Corporate Medical Director and a member of the board of directors of Medical Development International, Cascades, Virginia. He served his country with a full career in the United States Air Force, culminating his service as Chairman, Department of Primary Care, for the Medical Center at Andrews Air Force Base. After his military career, his experience includes

He is a past president of the Society for Advanced Medical Systems and a past president of the American Medical Association for Medical Systems and Informatics. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and a Doctorate of Medicine from the Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Bickel was one of the principals involved in the launch of our news magazine American Daughter Media Center. During our first years he was our technical authority for computer hardware and software acquisition and operation. He also served as our host when we were taping video interviews.
