Carolyn Abell is a Desert Storm veteran who retired from the United States Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1995.
She began writing several years ago, and has published numerous op-ed columns, as well as newspaper and magazine articles. Recently she edited and published a family history book written by her mother.
Although a native born Floridian, Carolyn now lives in south Georgia, in the area where her ancestors have resided for almost 200 years. An avid genealogist, she loves being surrounded by family history.
She is a member of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) and is actively involved in church and community volunteer activities.
